Special Guest Spotlight on
Marta Lapkowska

We are back today with yet another fabulous Guest Designer
whose creative talent knows no bounds!!!

Marta Lapkowska has graciously accepted our invitation to come inspire you all this month, using the May Main Challenge as basis for her outstanding project.

Here is what Marta had to say about herself and her passion for creating:

"My name is Marta Lapkowska (Maremi's Small Art).  I was born and raised in Poland.  I am currently living in Ireland and have been for the last 10 years.  My inner soul is truly a creative person.  Ever since I can remember, I have loved arts and crafts and have a passion for innovative techniques.  I love playing around, experimenting and creating unique pieces... from cards and tags to layouts, assemblage art, mixed media canvases, art journals and altered objects.  I love sharing my passion through my YouTube channel where I regularly share new project tutorials.  Recently, I started my Art Vlogs where I talk about important and interesting scrappy news in addition to product introductions and reviews.  For the past 3 years, creating is my way of living.  So far, it's the best journey I could have imagined!   I am so happy and honoured to be the More Than Words Special Guest this month!
Thank you so much for having me!"

We urge you to go visit Marta as you will without a doubt find inspiration galore and see, as we do, how Marta is one of the sweetest and generous creators out there!

Let's take a look at this month's MOMENT & CLOCKS Main Challenge
followed by Marta's awesome interpretation:

Marta shares this about her beautiful layout:
"When I saw this challenge, I absolutely loved it... a wonderful theme that is perfect for everyone!  For some reason, the word MOMENT made me think about dreams that we have and how every moment is ideal to follow your dreams.  CLOCKS is about time, years, age...  You are never too young or too old to follow your heart and bring your dreams to life.  I added a chipboard clock to my page."

Marta was so kind as to also provide us with a video to see her creative process!

And here are a few close-ups:

We love how Marta used many layers of ripped patterned paper to create her background. This technique not only add depth and texture (with torn distressed edges), but also a variety of designs and colours to work with as a base.

Marta has added some beautiful touches as in twine wrapped around the base
and several mists sprayed over flowers to create a most gorgeous smokey blue effect.

What a truly inspiring layout!  Totally exquisite!

Thank you so much Marta for joining us this month as our Special Guest!

If you haven't played along with our MOMENT & CLOCKS Main Challenge yet,
you still have 2 weeks to do so.  Watch Marta's video and get inspired!

  6. Marta, you know how much I think of you & tour creativity! The colours & atmospheric feel around the beautiful photo is what struck me first! Then, as always, there is so much more to investigate & be inspired by.... Your journey seems to have travelled so quickly (from 0-60mph in seconds kinda metaphor). Since you came off the starting block, there has been no stopping you! May it be a never ending one. C
